Ashley McBryde Birmingham reviews
DropKick Murphy's at the National
The high energy show by Ashley McBryde straight rocked the house on Wed. June 9th! An excellent performance was delivered, with a variety of awesome songs.
Still, as a fan, I was located dead center on the gate in the front row, and the sound quality was mediocre at best. The instruments were loud and clear, but the vocals and fun-filled lyrics were lost in muffled distortion. Disappointed by this aspect, I still enjoyed the musicality, talent, and energy that this band always puts out.
After the show, I was able to meet Scruffy, who not only signed a set list for me but also had the rest of the band sign it. Totally down to earth, humble, and super tolerant of their drunk Irish fans, this experience made the show worth every second and penny spent. It's fantastic when musicians appreciate their fans. PLEASE COME PLAY IN ANCHORAGE, AK NOW!
